The top face is trued up and a 10mm dish is created, exactly 200.0mm in diameter
Before making it a deep dish, the fit of the prototype plywood discs is checked
The edge of the dish can now be deepened to 20.0mm and most of the outer edge can be shaped
The depth of the dish must be checked frequently using a straight edge and vernier depth gauge as shown
The Cole jaws are needed for the final chucking operation. They will expand inside the square edge of the dish
The dish is reverse chucked again, this time to remove the spigot on the bottom and finish off the shape of the underside of the dish
