Re-mount the disc using the spigot in the catcher disc (there are still four hidden screws near the centre – make sure you know where they are!)
Break through to join up with the cut from the other side
Carefully cut through the disc in two places at right angles using a very thin bladed saw
The cross sections of the two pieces should be the same
The pieces can then be joined to make the Mobius Strip
