Isn't it embarrassing when one of your projects actually turns out to be USEFUL?
Our elderly, but very comfortable, chairs and settees were simply too low for comfort. So it was a case of fixing the problem or spending a lot of money on replacements
The solution not only had to look good, but preserve the ease of movement that the existing castors provided
So we got a few lengths of 100mm x 100mm sapele, cut it into blocks on the bandsaw and started turning.
They turned out to do such a good job that eventually 28 of them were needed
Quite a simple project on band saw, lathe and pillar drill, but a very successful one
