The thickness (apart from the two spigots) is reduced to 40mm
the diameter is reduced to 120mm
A quarter round profile is cut on one side, then the blank is reversed in the chuck
A second quarter profile is formed and checked for accuracy
It is also checked for fit in the jam chuck holder (and sanded down if necessary)
The external semi-circular profile is now complete. One spigot can be removed
