This simple bowl is made from small pieces of oak and walnut.
Two contrasting pieces of wood (of different sizes) are joined and then sawn
One of the sawn pieces is reversed and they are glued back a different way
When the pieces are turned to make a bowl some interesting effects are produced
A small oak piece is glued to the walnut piece (which already has contrast colour)
The assembly is sawn in half on the bandsaw. The mitre gauge is at 10 degrees
