A rather unusual shape of conical bowl, based on a couple of mathematical observations.
If you slice a cone at an oblique angle you get an ellipse
And if you slice a cylinder at an oblique angle you also get an ellipse
And, with a little trial and error, the two ellipses can be made the same.
It is a project which is technically quite difficult, but a lot of fun to do
